The Eyes Have It
I like abstracts and I like animal eyes.
I took this picture at a Behind the Scenes tour at the Maryland Zoo. Daisy is about 6 feet away from me and this is taken through very thick bars.
This is one of the ways that Prairie dogs will great each other. It's not necessarily affection but is family bonding.
This prairie dog had just finished eating and was enjoying the spring sun.
I love the tangle of stripes of this shot. I can understand how lions wouldn't be able to pick out one zebra from the rest.
Black & White in Black & White
I love the way these two zebra are lined up but I found the background distracting. I like it much better in black and white.
Which End is Which?
Curiosity and the Cat
He was watching a helicopter fly overhead.
Coquerel's Sifaka are very limber and loads of fun to watch.
This Guenon looked so content.
From the Top Down
I thought this was an interesting perspective. It's the top of a penguin's head taken with the camera pointing straight down.
Abyssinian Ground Hornbill
This hornbill spent quite a bit of time on grooming. This shot reminds me of a Flaminco dancer.
I liked this angle on this cormorant and the sunlight on its eye.
Abdim’s Stork's Feet
I like taking all kinds of pictures, including abstract type stuff. I really like this shot though I can't explain why.
Panamanian Golden Frog
This is a close up of Tuffy, the bull elephant at the Maryland Zoo. I love all the 'wrinkles' on elephant faces. They have so much character.
